Getting Ready for NNG Usability Week - San Francisco

Ok, I admit it...I'm a usability nerd. I think I own all of Jakob Nielsen's books -- I've been reading them for about 10 years now. And now, I'm so excited...I actually get to meet the man in person! I head out for Nielsen Norman Group's Usability Week 2008 in San Francisco on Sunday. Woo hoo! I'm so excited about this, I decided to start a blog. I don't know who will read it, but I don't care. I NEED to express my excitement to someone, anyone! To my co-workers at Wunderman - Team Detroit, try not to be jealous. Your dreams may also come true one day :) I'll try to share as much as I can as I learn cool new stuff from Dr. J. I'm also trying out this blogging stuff for the first time. Not sure how long I'll keep at it, but since I'm in the User Experience, Usability, Information Architecture profession (note the gratuitous keywords), I thought I should get more familiar. So, to all you Jakob geeks out there, stay tuned!

Don't assume others of us haven't had our dreams come true already. Here's my proof...

With my "Jakob Nielsen"

:) Seriously though, have a great time and I look forward to hear what you pick up from the conference.
